001 inputs don\'t show up in sound control panel
I don't see the 001 as an input choice in my sound control panel, though the 001 come up as an output choice. I'm running a G4 400, 512mb ram, OS 9.1. I sometimes want to use the 001 with other little progams like Mixman, Soundhack, etc,(rather than start a PT LE session) simply to get material into my computer through the optical inputs from a minidisk deck with optical outs. I need a simple way to end up with .wav files to burn to CD. I could use the analog outs of the MD into the 1/8" sound-in jack, but my goal is to simply transfer tracks from MD to CD, and maintain the digital path. The only time I see availability of the 001 inputs is in Protools. Can I use the 001 optical inputs without Protools?

Re: 001 inputs don\'t show up in sound control panel
You cannot access the inputs of any of our hardware via Sound Manager...output only.
Third party software must either support Direct I/O or ASIO in order to use the inputs of the Digi001. Brent |
