Re: furniture
After doing exausting research on the subject, we ended up designing and building our own studio workstation. It was rather simple (I am a fairly decent carpenter, if yo're not perhaps you have a friend that is...) and we have a layout that is perfect in every respect for our control room, at a small percentage of what the premade stuff was going to cost us.
See website for pics. Hope this is helpful. |

Re: furniture
i like the omnirax furniture, so i browsed their website.
on their website they gave some pretty detailed pictures of some furniture. i bought some wood, brought it to a carpenter and 3 days later it was finished. i painted it myself. costs: 200 euro, and the catalogue price for the same furniture was 700 euro ! greetings, tantejo. |

Re: furniture
Just today I got my first rack in the mail. I got a 12 space folding rack from On-stage stands. It's a pretty simple thing, but it works fairly well. So long as you don't have anything particularly heavy in your setup, it's a very budget friendly way of organizing your gear.

Re: furniture
thanks all for your replies.
i think i'll go for the quicklock ZM19. btw, does anybody know the difference between european and american rack rails?if i'm going to use an american console(crest XR20),do i have to buy the american rail type? buying a "ready-made" mixer rack might be a bit more expensive than building your own furniture, but not so time consuming. +does good audio engineers makes good carpenters? +who wants wood?"three hugin' hippy craps"?? (i'm just kidding). PEACE |

Re: furniture
The difference is the thread size for the rack screws.
Hope this is helpful. |
