Default Where to put samples

I have Pro Tools recording to an external hard drive. Which is better, to put samples (for SampleTank) on that external hard drive? Or leave them on my computer's hard drive?

I also have a Seagate external hard drive at my disposal if that's a better option.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, i7 2.20GHz, 8GB RAM, and the cover is shiny black.

Your system drive or possibly a fast external drive. Best is a dedicated internal Samples drive

I probably should have specified that but figured the OP would understand that I was refering to the other external he had mentioned. As Allbee mentioned your Audio dive is the last place you want to put them.
