Default Re: is core i5-2450m enough for running pro tools MP9 ?

thanks brownie,

1) stable in the sense ? you wanted to point out something ?

2) also i read a thread in this forum that says, for recording/play back using pro tools its MUST to use a secondary harddisk (7200) rpm, rather than using the primary harddisk where the OS installed. otherwise it could create many errors while recording.
IS THIS A MUST ?

3) probably i should look for a laptop that has an eSATA port. and connect a external sata hard disk

4) would you like to recommend some make/model .?

regards
cherish

1. Stable in the sense that most pro tools problems are caused by general computer instability. You can run stress tests and burn in programs to see of you can get your machine to crash. Do all the recommends optimizations and you should be well on your way to avoiding problems.

2. Yes 2nd HD is necessary

3. I like esata but with your track counts usb2 would be fine

4. I love my Lenovo t510 but I also run several HP machines.
