Licensing and setting up a second system

I have a question in relation to licensing....

I have the 10/11/12 bundle with a perpetual license.....

I want to set up a second system to either run 10 or 11 my question relates to the licenses I have....

Does the perpetual license that came with the package bound to all versions of the bundle? it was my belief this perpetual license thing came out with ver 12 and 10/11 are not bound by this license.... correct me if I'm wrong which I'm sure you will.

I am intending to buy another iLok dongle to place either the 10 or 11 lic on do I need the perpetual lic to be on the dongle too? for these to run or am I forced to buy another perpetual lic?

I did have an old hackntosh that I could have tested this on but that died.

They are a license collection that are locked together and cannot be separated.
You paid for one license and only get one license -- just this license lets you run older versions also.

If you want to set up a second system, you'll need to buy another license. If you aren't using them at the same time, you can also just move your ilok key between systems to the one you are currently using.

99% of the time I will just be able to move the dongle to the other system, but there may be times where it will be handy being able to run both.

So I guess what you are saying buying another perpetual lic by itself won't cut it I would need to buy another ver of 2018.* along with a perpetual lic, the latter so I don't get a renew every 12 months.

Depending on your needs you might consider a monthly subscription for the second system. That would help if you are working on a short term project and need multiple systems running simultaneously.
