20+ Hard crashes PT11
Fresh install of PT11.0.2 and PT10.3.7 on Mac OSX 10.8.5.
I7-3770K P8Z77-LK (1155) XMS3- 8GB Crucial M4-(OS and Programs) WD Blue 500gb, 7200rpm (Sample Libraries) Internal HD4000 Graphics Seems like only when I go in for intense wav editing It will up and crash. Feels like things slow down for a split second and then my session is gone! |

What exact DAE or other error message do you get from the "crash", or if not an error message then what is in the Console (console.app) User Diagnostic Report logs when the applciation crashes. Are they all the same? Paste the first 100 or so lines here from a typical one of these crash logs. What third party plugins are in use or just installed (even if not used), and are they up to date? What troubleshooting steps have you tired? When did this start happening? (was PT ever working OK on this system? What version?). What changed? |

-Waves Mercury -Komplete 8 -SSD4 Platinum -Superior Drummer -XLN AD/AK -Vienna Suite -Omnisphere -Trillian -Stylus -PT11 Plugins. Everything is up to date as of this month, clean install of all programs. The session crash is the same everytime. I can post a sandra report or otherwise if needed! Thank you for the reply! |

Oh goodie, lots of plugins, and some currently seeming slightly flaky ones (like SD) first rule of Crash Club is *always* suspect the plugin. Move all of the plugins out of their folders temporarily and see if this happens again with the same session. If the problem does not occur then try moving them back in in batches until things go south again. Do this test carefully, yes even plugin loaded into Pro Tools but not substantiated in the session can do this. Plugin file location are described here http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...n&DocType=1079 |

Re: 20+ Hard crashes PT11
Are you using a lot of VIs in your sessions when you get the crashes?

Where can I find the Console.app crash log? I've got about 10 different VI's running and about 10 other plugins running. Crashing is more prevalent when the buffer size was low. |

Re: 20+ Hard crashes PT11
Can we assume you're on PC rather than Mac?

Re: 20+ Hard crashes PT11
It's a PC. Windows 7 never got along with PT. Been much more stable on 10.8.5 OSX.
