Default Using Yamaha Keyboard as midi controller

Yo guys So I got a problem. I want to use my Yamaha YPG-635 as a midi controller. I am using pro tools 11. So far the computer and the keyboard have communication. When I load up pro tools 11 the Keyboard is in my midi devides list. However I cannot get the keyboard to play through at all. There is a p.c. mode on the keyboard I am using and I have messed with that and there is still no signal. I can't get the keyboard and pro tools via usb, to get any communication. Iv'e messed with inputs on the midi track and or instrument track and theres nothing. This just doesn't make sense to me. So I'd appreciate some help. Hopefully this all makes sense haha.

I tried this many years back with a Casio or Yamaha keyboard so my memory is rusty but I think there is a setting on the keyboard, besides PC mode where you can have 'local on' or 'local off' if memory serves, you turn local off and it will send the midi out of the keyboard.
Or vise versa and set it to on.
I would bet that is the issue.

Hope that helps.
