@ Avid : Elastic Audio Workflow
The "correct" workflows with Elastic Audio (as previously detailed in an official statement by Avid / DTS) were to either :
a). Complete all editing, create crossfades, and then consolidate entire track, before engaging Elastic Audio and commencing quantisation etc. b). Complete all Elastic Audio operations, and render the file before disabling EA, and moving on to editing. This was because crossfades and Elastic Audio were not happy bedfellows. Could somebody from Avid / Tech Support please clarify if this is still the recommended M.O. Since PT10 did away with fade files, I'm curious as to whether this is still an issue. Cheers! |

Re: @ Avid : Elastic Audio Workflow
I just ran a test.
I edited a drum kit manually. I filled some of the gaps using EA and the rest of the gaps using BD. Up till that point it worked great. Now if you select all and remove warp that's a different issue all together. Fades and EA are still not friends.

Re: @ Avid : Elastic Audio Workflow
Well thanks for bumping it back up anyway, it had kind of slipped to the back of my mind. |

Thanks for going to that effort, and verifying. Would be nice if we could get some feedback from Avid / Tech Support, even if it's to just confirm that the same rules apply. Cheers! |
