Default Atto UL4D SCSI Card

When is digidesign going to authorize the the use of ATTO's UL4D SCSI card? Avid, Digidesign's parent company, is selling us ULTRA 320/LVD drives and it seems silly that Digi only recommends ATTO's UL3D card which has a transfer rate of only
160 MB/Sec.

Why is Digi so slow in testing and authorizing modern technology. Even their new PCI expansion chassis is stuck at a 33MHz bus speed. Granted it's a 64 bit PCI bus but if I were to upgrade my G4 Mac to a G5 and run my HD3 system on it, I'd get a lessor track count at the highest sampling rate (192) than the G4. I'm sick of upgrading to outdated technology. I hardly call that an upgrade.

I know Digi has the music industry by the balls but at least they could keep up with our Video brethren. How hard can it be?
