Default Import session data from frozen track?

Sorry if this has already been addressed. I was not able to find it on initial search.

I am trying to import plug ins / plug in settings from a different session, however I am getting an error on the tracks that have been frozen. I only want to import plug in data which was added after the track had been frozen.

Any ideas?

Import the track with all the playlists, unfreeze it and delete the playlists.

Yes the work around I came up with so far is to import the track as a new track and then move the plug ins over to the current track.

All I'm trying to accomplish is to import eq presets from previous session.

thanks
