Recording Guitar w/Effects live recording
Sorry, for maybe a huge newbie question. I really would like to record my guitar through Roland Octa-Capture into PT First with guitar effects ie. flanger distortion etc. I very rarely play a clean sound and I realize I can add effect plug ins after the fact, but I'd like to play and hear and record a track with effects.
Sorry if this is not the correct thread but as I'm just starting figured this may be the place to ask. Thank you |

Re: Recording Guitar w/Effects live recording
There are a few ways to do this(some may depend on what PT First has in the way of limitations.
1-record a typical stage rig(pedalboard>amp>speaker cab) 2-bring the DI'd guitar to an AUX track and insert your amp sim and effects on the AUX track, route it to an AUDIO track and record 3-combine 1&2
