Presonus Digimax connected to Digi Rack 002 help

I have been using the presonus digital preamp with my 002 together for 6 months with no problem, now I have a clocking issue. Rapid clicks and pops.

Digigmax set to 44.1 khz

Digirack 002 set to 44.1 khz

002 Hardware setup is as follows:

Digital input: RCA=S/PDIF , OPTICAL= ADAT

CLOCK SOURCE: INTERNAL

SAMPLE RATE 44.1 KHZ

I changed the cable.

What could be wrong

CLOCK SOURCE: INTERNAL >> ! You must select clocking from the Digimax ( SPDIF or ADAT depending on the box and connection method )

Thanks. When I select ADAT as clock source 002 tells me clock choice is invalid reverting to internal.
I thought clock source was supposed to be set to ADAT.

is your adat cable going to the ADAT input of the 002r and not the output?

The 002r clock source has to be set to ADAT. The session should restart after you change the clock source from internal to ADAT.

Your other setups seem correct.

Make sure the Digimax is not set to external clock source.

I know I'm about 5 years late but when you open your session make sure you are in 44.1 as well. When the clock reverts to internal it usually means either your session is in a different rate or your digimax is at a different rate...assuming your cabling is correct. Use your digimax as the clock source and you should be good to go!
