Default Problems with MIDI I/O of 002R while running Sibelius 6.2

Hi everyone !
I posted that already on general DUC PT LE Mac forum, but I thought it might be a good idea to post it on MIDI portion of DUC.
I just installed Sibelius 6.2 on my iMac i7 ( 2.8GHz, 8GB RAM, 10.6.3). I noticed that for some reason while Sibelius is running, when I launch PT 8 LE the MIDI interface of 002R fails to launch along with the audio. Namely: the 002R interface is grey in MIDI studio setup. The only solution I found so far is to quit PT, quit Sibelius, re-launch PT. Than the MIDI interface of 002R launches fine. I have my master keyboard plugged directly into one of the MIDI in sockets on 002R.
my question is : can i run simultaneously PT 8.0.3 and Sibelius 6.2 on the same computer and have MIDI Studio functioning properly ?
