Default exporting a 24/48k to a 24/44.1k

i did some dvd mixing recently and wanted to take the full show mix and put it into a Wavelab audio montage, do indexes & 16bit dither to make a CD.
I exported the 24bit/48k wave file to a 24bit/44.1k wave file (tweekhead settings) out of protools.

Wow! the sound quality sucked!..... i did it 2x to make sure i didnt make a mistake, i couldnt believe it .
i later compared the 2 files (original vs exported)playing simutaneously (on 2 seperate systems using 2 hi quality cards and clocks)....lets say ill never be doing that again......
I will be using my Lucid SRC real time sample rate converter.....drag cause its real time!

Even wavelab's sample rate converter sounded light years better......

Hey Digi, how about letting someone make a high end SRC algorithm that we can use in PT to do exports?
