Default LE/001 & 9.2.1 problems.HELP

Hi
Wondering if anyone can help me.I have recently updated from 9.04 to 9.2.1 on a 400mhz G4 and am now experiencing some problems with protools le.I get freezes for no apparent reason.Sometimes the computer goes to sleep and can't be woken.(at least the screen is off anyway)Not only have I turned the energy saver control panel to never but I even disabled it in extension manager.Still problems.Have zapped Pram and reinstalled OMS which has caused problems in the past.Still strange things happened.
Any ideas beside clean install which I basically just did when upgrading.
Thanks in advance.

9.2.1 was buggy as hell. Go straight to 9.2.2.

The "coma" symptom you describe is a known issue with the early G4s and 9.2.1 (and 9.2 for that matter).

Also, be sure all your RAM passes muster. Bad RAM has been known to cause all kinds of problems, though they are usually crashes and freezes and the like.

I agree with sdemott. Go to 9.2.2 But... also upgrade your Firmware. I did the 9.01 to 9.2.2 on my G4 400 and when I tried to put in a new processor (Powerlogix 1Gig) It wouldn't even power up. That's when I foumd out about firmware updates and how important they are. Go to the Apple site and it will walk you through the process. After I did that, everything is like butter...

Good Luck

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">If you disable the Energy Saver CP, it will default to the sleep settings. It has to be enabled and set to Never in order to disable sleep.

Are you using an older version of Conflict Catcher? It will cause strange things to happen with 9.2.1. It caused a disk crash with me that I was able to recover from with Norton but it was a bit of a nightmare.

Good luck.

thanks for the advice on the energy control panel.AS for updating I am using an OASYS PCI card which will only work up to 9.2.1 so any further is out of the question for now.I heard the only improvement was better classic support when running OSX which I don't havre anyway.
I updated from 9.04 through 9.1.Should I go back to one of these do you think.
Cheers
