D-Command Firmware update backwards compatible?
We are operating a dual boot system with one setup using ProTools v9 / Snow Leopard and the other using ProTools 10 / Mountain Lion. We are asked to update the D-Command Firmware when we go to Preferences in ProTools v10, but hesitate to do so for fear of losing compatibility with our ProTolls v9 system. Can anyone confirm that we can update firmware without a hitch? For now it seems to work fine with the old Firmware.
Thank you. Inky

Re: D-Command Firmware update backwards compatible?
Thanks, Craig.
It sounds like we have nothing to lose and can revert back to 9 Firmware if it's acting funky in any way. If we do need to revert, is the correct Firmware installed and available on our Protools 9 system already or will we have to find it elsewhere? Thanks again, Inky Last edited by inky; 09-18-2014 at 10:06 AM. Reason: Additional Question |
