Default Another mbox2 pro wont power up!

Hi there,

I have re downloaded / re installed PTLE 8.03 and still no sign of power to the interface. I am also running OSX 10.5.8

Could be the USB port. Try resetting your computer.

You're running 10.5.8 on a? Are you running a firewire drive in the chain? If so is it: Computer>drive>mbox2pro? Computer>mbox2pro>drive? In LE I believe it should be: Computer>drive>mbox2pro. Are you using an 800 to 400 adapter? More info is needed.

MBP > MboxPro Via FW400

The HDD im using for the session is running off the FW800 port, but this has nothing to do with it as the PT drivers are on the cpu.

Dammit ...

You're not hot swapping right? If I hot plug mine it's a 50/50 chance that the computer will recognize it. Make sure it's all plugged in and power up the computer. Other than that a bad cable maybe? Try using the power adapter?

And come to think of it my system is funky if I use both firewire ports on the MBP. I have an expresscard adapter that the mbox is on since Digi says first off to not put the interface and external on the same bus if it can be avoided. They also say the interface must be last in the chain...I'm not sure the what order the devices are in if you use both those ports but they are on the same bus. Anyway long story short the expresscard may help... my interface is definitely more reliable with it. My guess is that since the onboard FW bus is actually FW800 this is causing problems.
