OT: alternative to DVD SP?
Of course there are some apps that will do basic authoring like iDVD, but does someone know of one that will accept AC3 and/or DTS-files?
I'm just looking for an alternative to DVD Studio Pro, which (as far as I can tell) can only be bought as part of the expensive Studio Pro HD package. I already own and use Discwelder Bronze to do DVD-A, so it's the multichannel audio-to-picture side I'm interested in. Thanks. |

Re: OT: alternative to DVD SP?
There are some shareware programs available. I have used ffmpegX:
http://homepage.mac.com/major4/ But it is not simple to use. It has a Tools section and one of the tools is called mux. It will take an AC3 file and a MPEG2 video file and multiplex them together. It has the ability to MPEG2 encode a video file also. And then it has a separate tool to "author" the DVD. It is complicated...but it is cheap.
