Crash Reporter and Crash Issue

I still am having the issue with the Crash Reporter Prompt and PT's 12.0 crashing on start up. I have tried trashing prefs and booting without the effects. The problem persists.Doesn't anyone have advice about this issue? I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem. I have an I Mac with 32 gigs of ram, just purchased sub for PT's, I use three external drives and have a SSD internal drive. Hope someone can help. I've emailed support and so far no answer.

Update ilok manager if needed . Also try unistalling a reinstalling PT .

Thankyou! I have most recent version of I Lok since I just purchased the Pro tools update. I may re install if I can't find another fix.

Could be a problem with a plugin trying to load. Does it crash during the plugin loading process? If so, look at the last plugin trying to load before it crashes, then temporarily remove it from the plugins folder and see if PT loads.

No, it crashes after the plugins are loaded. The window appears and I choose my file and after it loads the crash reporter comes up. I can't report anything because the crash reporter freezes.

Could still be a plugin issue. Have you tried opening the session with all plugins disabled?

Then, assuming it is a plugin issue, it's a matter of figuring out which one is causing the problem thru process of elimination.

Yes, I am aware of this. I tried adding one at a time and PT's opened, but then some time later it did the same thing: crashed on start up. It's strange because it doesn't do it every time, but too many times for comfort. Strange that older versions of the app never crashed on me.
