I’d like to have a rock solid system...and I’d like to decide when pay for having new stuff. I hate the subscription method.

Anyway my system now works, with an old pro tools, thanks to the upgrades!

So many variables when you maintain your system. Avid of course assumes you have a clean OS install and not upgrade over previous one, just to mention one of the most common reasons why peopöe have sub standard experience. Another one being outdated 3rd party plugins, even one bogey can cause many random problems.

Yes they told me I’m right and they know the bug from 2019.6
The bug affects 2019.10 and 2019.12 but they haven’t yet a solution.
Half an year. But I pay my subscription. I’ve asked for the subscription refund. I’m waiting the answer but they were little available to meet you when it comes to money, as always

That sucks. At least 2019.5 is a good release and if they won't fix it soon you have a good point in demanding a free extension

hey there, there is an interesting update!

I spoke to Avid Technical Support on the phone, they connected to my system remotely and controlled everything. It seems that this bug is located only in this specific machine or configuration and they have never had any feedback of this type.

The technician was very kind and told me that he will write a debug program using a brand new tool provided by Apple after the introduction of the new mac pro 2019 which allows him to record the debugging of the computer during the crash (I'm explaining it to you little simplistically but this is).

In a few days we will know more!

Unfortunately there are no substancial updates. Everything is stopped because of covid19.
We have understand that the problem is an incompatibility/bug between the native instrument hardware and the Avid HD driver. I am also in contact with the technical assistance of Native Instrument which however at the moment cannot verify the thing since they do not have access to the laboratory.
In the meantime, they told me to try to update mojave which probably should solve this incompatibility. I have not yet done the mojave update in the studio because in the mac pro 2012 there is still the original video card which is not compatible with "metal" which however mojave requires. I therefore ordered a compatible video card and am waiting for it. As soon as the card arrives I mount it and then update the system to Mojave.
We will see how it goes
