Default Extending The Mic Inputs on the 002 Console

I would to add eight additional mic inputs to my 002 console via the ADAT in on the 002. First I'd like to know if this is possible? Secondly I'd like to know what interfaces that are out there which would give me this capability. Which would you recommend and why?

This is very much doable. However, you do not want an interface. What you want is an 8 channel microphone preamp with an ADAT output. There are several of these available on the market.

Two of the most popular choices are the Octopre and the Digimax. There are others as well, Behringer makes one as well as M Audio.

Best Of Luck!

RME Octamic-D is what I use and I love it. I actually use the RME as the clock master too over the 002.
