Default How many Pro Tools systems are there in the world?

Would be interested to see Digi post the number of PT's systems that have been sold. I could probably do a Google search on this but I would like to see the latest numbers.

Thanks

I read somewhere that Pro Tools systems in the world are around 120.000
If I remember well was an official DIGI announcement

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Then another question jumps to my mind... how many out of those 120.000 users are DUC members?...

The DUC is the best support service available so I would be amazed if the number is low.

That question raises another one:
How many Pro Tools users ARE NOT registered, but are DUC members?

A friend of mine at Digi said there were 250,000 TDM systems, and "many more" Digi 001 systems. This was about a year ago.

Keep in mind that TDM includes PTIII, PT24, Mix, and now HD.

-And plugin manufacturers defend their significantly higher pricing for TDM on the fact that the market is too small.

As a Brazilian guy, I shall tell you that the language is the big problem. Many people can talk in english ordinary things, like asking for a hot dog, asking omeone to shut up and so..
But technicall stuff asks for a deeper knowledge.
I imagine very few brazilian guys come here due to what I have just explained.
Talking about PT rigs, I live in the south of Brazil, where we have 3 different states. In my state ( the smaller one) we have:
1 Pro Tools HD3
4 Pro Tools Mix/Mix Plus ( I am among these guys)
15 Digi 001 Systems
a few PT3 older systems

Seems PT has beat the Roland VS numbers, right DIGI?

Congratulations!
