I guess since nothing showed up at AES it is dead for now. At least until Winter NAMM!

I asked a "Digi guy" this at a recent 002 demo. He told me that while they're not allowed to comment on what they are or aren't doing (for obvious reasons), he did say that Digidesign is always researching and developing new or upgraded products. I took that to mean that it's possible a new control surface is in development, but we'll never know for sure until one is announced....

I would be psyched on a 24 fader surface with no preamps. Just as small as you can get it and simple with larger "scribble" strips. By the way Digigirly, are you as sexy as your title implies? If so I'm in LA. We can hook-up over coffee and plan a way to get what we want out of these Digidesigner's

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Yes, what digi users need is a low priced "pro control" unit without preamps and all that $$$ stuff... Digi002 users are getting that... I would hop that we TDM (mix and hd) users also could have such an unit... I simply can not afford a control24 :-(

Regards.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">YES! .... Amen! ... Word! etc !!

On the other hand, an expanded Mackie Control could be this, but Mackie and Digi can't seem to make-nice together.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Good GOD, man!!! One of the few, pleasant breaks we get from the testosterone-dominated DUC, and between your hitting on her and Jules' caveman-intoned "when come back, bring pie" comment, we're really manifesting our neanderthal selves.

All your base are belong to us!

er...

I heard Mackie and Logic fell out.

Due to poor sales of the Logic control.

To be quite honest I thought that would have been a HUGE hit all over Europe.. but seems not.

I have always held a torch for Digigirly..

Sigh.....

The Ideal control surface...

SOMEONE ELSE'S FINGERS!

Digi charges enough for stuff, why not just sell interns?
