Well ... that was surprising! I guess the hammer finally dropped, how appropriate that it was a Swedish band. I suppose it was bound to to happen, but, I never guessed it would be so soon. As they are one of the heaviest bands going around and leaders in their field, I wonder how long it will be till others follow suit.

Another thing that surprised me was the naming of the so-called devil guitar just because it had an upside down cross. This surprised me because in Sunday School many years ago I was taught that the upside cross was called the Cross of St. Peter (aka Petrine Cross).

Are you referring to them all using amp modelers (Axe FX)?

I think thats pretty cool. There are lots of great choices out there for guitarists to have an all-in-one system. Including the Eleven Rack

Yes! It wasn't so long ago that most metal bands were full-on tube snobs, "I''ll never a touch an amp-modeller because it doesn't have that tube tone". I even know a few of them. With the leader in that field now using a modeller, and others such as Periphery (though, I don't like them) following suit the argument about the tone is irrelevant, it's about using the best tool for the job.

They are still pushing those out of real amps right ? Which is where some tone still happens

You mean feeding the modeller into a power amp and such - I don't know. I do know that when they were using the Line 6 gear it was ran into the PA - without using any backline amplification
