Default PT 8 VSO bug

I did my first session on PT8 and noticed a bug in the VSO settings. When opening the session setup window for the first time in a session, you can not enable VSO at all. If you close the session setup window and then re-open it, VSO works as usual for that session. But every new session requires the session setup window to be opened and closed once before the VSO can be enabled.
The systems I encountered this bug on were dual-processor G5's running HD2 or 3, all with PT8.0cs2. Not sure if it applies to Intel systems as well.
Also, why is the VSO limited to +/- 1.5 semitones? You can go much further with elastic audio, but it is a pain to set up as you have to enable EA processing on every track and then calculate pitch changes by changing the tempo.

I don't see how that thread has anything to do with VSO; looks like a discussion about some sort of virtual instrument.

Oops, I guess I read your post too quickly. I thought, by VSO you meant "Vienna Symphonic Orchestra" and at first glance your problem looked familiar.

Sorry!

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I was referring to the varispeed settings.
