Default Digi: Disappearing Midi Notes is a *bug*

Dear Digi support:

I just wanted to make clear that the issue with disappearing notes, documented here , is a bug. I am able to reproduce this problem on a session created entirely in PT 7.1, after trashing preferences etc. Trashing preferences makes the problem go away temporarily, but it comes back very frequently.

Please fix this problem!

Yep I'm still getting this too..

This has been acknowledged by digi, but to date no one including myself can document the steps to recreate the problem. I will give it another shot this week..

Default ***REPRODUCEABLE STEPS!!***

I beleive I've cracked it: reproduceable steps to re-create disappearing midi notes in 7.1 cs10 with new sessions. This Machine has never had a version 6 session on it, it's a new build.

Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.20GHz
Total Memory : 2GB DDR2-SDRAM
Mainboard : ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5LD2-Deluxe
Windows System : Microsoft Windows XP/2002 Professional 5.01.2600 (Service Pack 2)

1. Trash Prefs
2. Start Protools
3. Create AIFF 24 Bit 44.1 Session
4. Create 10 x Midi Tracks
5. Draw notes on first track
6. Copy and paste (Ctrl C / Ctrl V)these notes to 9 other tracks
10. select a note on any track zoom in and out and you'll see the note contrasted against background
11. Now create stereo aux
12. instantiate Hybrib (or any other virtual instrument)
13. create another 10 x midi tracks
14. now copy and paste notes from track 10 of previous 10 midi tracks to track one of new 10 ie. midi track 11
15. repeat this for the all the 10 new tracks
16. Now select single midi notes on track 10 of first bunch of midi tracks you created, zoom in and voila they disappear!!!

Please can you other guys try this so that we can confirm for Digi that this is indeed a bug-ette

Thanks

t
