PT Studio 2023.9 with MacOS 13.6.1 & 13.6.2

have 16" M1 Pro Max, 32gb RAM
currently on Monterey, 12.6
running PT Studio 2022.12.0

will be upgrading OS to Ventura 13.6.1 (as this is latest and only one on the Mac Store). some people have option of 13.6.2, not sure why...

will be upgrading PT Studio to latest version 2023.9 as well

Avid site says latest supported OS for ProTools Studio 2023.9 is Ventura. 13.5.2

so my question is ,
as i cannot choose which Ventura Version to update to

is it ok to update to this 13.6.1?
any issues, bugs, etc.?

i really wish Avid would support the latest versions of the previous OS, the only ones available to download,
what's one to do when they buy a new Mac which comes with Sonoma, and even newer OS

Hi! You should be able to run Pro Tools 2023.9 on Venture 13.5.2.

You can do a dual boot system with one drive running your current and the other partition running 13.5.2 to test. But you should be able to run PT 23.9 on the said OS version.

Works realy fine here, Mac Studio M1, 64GB latest Pro Tools, latest Ventura with Avid Carbon.

latest Ventura is not 13.5.2. and is not available to download on Apple Store,
my option is 13.6.1

macOS Ventura 13.6.2 is only available for MacBook Pro (2021 and later) and iMac (2023) (see here). You will not see this update if you are on an older machine (Intel, M1, etc...).

i am on a 2021 MBP M1 MAX, and i all it shows me is 13.6.1,
so not sure what's the deal with that,

Just download and install 13.6.1 and then update to .2 afterwards. It's a tiny update - just a minor security patch. Unimportant.

Or download 13.6.2 from here - get the right one though - there are two versions of 13.6.2 listed for different models.
