That is what I’m told. I explained that I have been having this off and on for a couple of years, but 2023.6 helped it rear its ugly head in full force. I have spoken with Ernesto, on several occasions giving him a full list of the plugins that I use, plus all of the details of my rig, and he had me do several things, send a video of it happening, I sent Two different instances, send two different log tags, he has assured me that the engineers are working on a fix, and it will be in an update as soon as it has been resolved. I told him that I am a small studio but that I have clients all around the globe and this issue has crippled me on some days. I also told him that PT is the only major DAW that has midi issues like this. I switched to PT in 2010 because I moved to Nashville and everyone uses it there. Blah blah. Anyway, hopefully there will be a resolution sooner than later

This frankly seems like ******** from Avid support. These issues have been so widely discussed on DUC that nobody at Avid with an IQ above room temperature should have been unaware of ongoing issues. And I am pretty sure multiple people have filed support case for related issues. I have multiple emails from support/Ernesto saying stuff is being "worked on" including fundamental latency bugs and I have no confidence this means jack ****.

Thanks Jeff. I should have made my post clearer. I see two different issues.

1. The MIDI assignments are lost randomly went a Session is opened.
2. The MIDI playback stops on various MIDI instruments as the CPU load rises to circa 50% approx. Audio tracks are NOT affected.

The work around for bug 1 is to set up the MIDI assignments again.
The work around for bug 2 is to reduce the load on the CPU (M1 etc) and then MIDI works again after stopping and playing again.

Does playback stop at any point and do you get any error codes while all this is happening?
