Drawing fades / task window problem PT

PT HD 7.1 OSX 10.4.8

Hi All,

A colleague and I are scratching our heads over the issue desrcribed below:

"On drawing a fade, or adjusting one, the “Tasks” window appears with a Paused Task in the menu sat reads “Rendering Face <name> | Attempt to open locked file for writing (-54)” In the Edit window below, the fade is drawn, but is blank. The task never completes, and you have to Cancel it, and redraw the fade. If you don’t Cancel it, they collect in the Tasks menu, and on closing the session you are prompted with “There are some incomplete taks. Close session anyway?”"

Any pointers as to what's going on here would be gratefully received.

I just had the same problem (nevermind that it's 4 years later....)

ever find a solution? I'm on PT HD8, Mac Pro, Leopard 10.5.8
