Default aax with 8le

I’ running protools 8le and want to run an aax plug-in (midi guitar 2). Is there a way to make this happen? I heard there might be an update that will allow 8le to run aax plug-ins but I can’t find any info about it and don’t know if it’s real.

First off I think you have things wrong about MIDI Guitar 2. As far as I can find out it's au/vst format only as well as standalone. So unless there's been a change that hasn't popped up on Jam Origin's site you may be in luck.

PT8le supports RTAS right? If so take a look at Blue Cat Audio's Patchwork plugin host. It's a program/plugin that hosts other plugins in either au or vst format. What you would do is to insert Patchwork on an insert slot and then call up MIDI Guitar 2 in a slot in Patchwork. Here's a link to the product page for Patchwork: https://www.bluecataudio.com/Product...uct_PatchWork/
