Default iZotope Vinyl weirdness

I love this plug... but I put it on the Master fader with a bit of mechanical and electrical noise as a background... now I put my master fader all the way down and the noises are still there... where am I wrong ?
Also if you click on at least three of the four little holes on the corners the plug opens a new (secret...) window...

Hahahaha, brilliant! I've been working with this plugin for many years and never found this one.

Hi,

Now's a good time to get in the habit of using a mixbus/ aux before the master fader for the above reason! Also good if you want to RCD recod to disk instead of bouncing! Many advantages using a mixbus for your overall processing and keep the master fader for metering! This also helps if you have other stuff routed into your PT session like iTunes etc which you don't want processed yada yada!

I know... it's that when you're mixing the last song of an album you tend to become lazy (well, talking just about me of course...) Thank you for reminding me though!
What you mean by iTunes routed into PT session ???

let's say you want to compare some tunes for reference and you bring them into a session with comps and eqs strapped across your master, well then, your reference track will get processed, too.
if you have a dedicated aux ( i call mine "mix") with your processing on it, and then route that to your master, and do a/b' s vs. your reference (with it bussed to the master) you'll be apples and apples...
(plus no drama with the pre/post issues on fades.)

Ok, got it, I thought you actually mysteriously routed iTunes output into a PT session (which would be cool by the way)...

well, you can do that, too...
in the above example you can either import an audio file into tools, say, from a cd.
or, you can connect your optical digital out jack into your optical in on your interface, switch apple sys prefs to "digital out" on the sound ouput panel, and then route myspace, itunes, or your naughty vids right in.

e.p.s.

one of our interns used to think when you did that you lost the "screws" forever...
