So when I get a notification telling me there is an update to the version I already have installed, I'm not thinking let me log into my master account. I'm thinking the application is bugging out.
I know I know... Was just saying.

Everyday might be a stretch but you can actually have email notification on threads that are of interest to someone who use PT for work.

Just a thought and it doesn't take up any time or effort. Just add the alert for updates and tech to your Avid Account and get email notice when something posts there from Avid. Appman doesn't work well and we all know that so don't rely on that for update info IMHO of Course.

1. Last thing I need is any more emails.

2. This advice would make sense if "Rev 2's" were common and we knew we needed to actually look out for them. And in this case, the appman did it's job. It told me there was an update. Just didn't label it right. We shouldn't be justifying this by saying the user should just check the DUC or log into their master account every time the app manager says there is an update. Avid should just label the updates accordingly if they want us to use this application.
