Plugins usually remain in place. You will likely need to type/paste in the authorization code again(PT9 now uses iLok so it has no code).

Ok awesome...is there any place where the authorization code would be? I still have the registration card with the upc ...is that the code? if not, where can i find it?

What version of Pro Tools? If its PT9, then the iLok should do it. If its 8 or older, you need the authorization code. Pre 8 usually had it on the inside cover of the Getting Started Guide. PT8 usually came with a card with a registration code. Once you registered, Digidesign/Avid emailed the code(which would start with something like "DIGI0800 xxxxxxx". Check your MyAvid account as it should be listed there. I suggest(assuming you find it), writing it down in at least 3 places.
