Exponential Audio Verb + 2020.3

Anyone else using 7.1.2 or 7.0.1 Exponential audio reverb plugins in 2020.3. Mine are broken and in conversation with Avid support it seems to be a bug since any other channel width of the plugins (Stratus and Symphony) are working just fine and up to date. Error AAE Error -20038. Thanks!

In the meantime you can host the VST or AU versions in Blue Cat Patchwork.

I have but iZtotope seems to only respond to support cases once per work day. And the last response I got from them was to do a clean install which hasn’t changed anything. Amazingly AVID support has done a much better job fairly quickly eliminating PT as the issue. iZotope’s first email to me was what OS was I using following that up the next day with a platform agnostic clean install request with instructions that seem to be for OSX (since I couldn’t find the requested uninstalled inside the Windows zip link they sent me). And sure some of this is my fault for not providing more information initially but I am responding within the hour to their email to me, and I don’t hear back from them for a day. Rather annoying, especially for something as simple as “What OS are you using?” <response> “Windows 10” <response the next day> Please uninstall and reinstall. With these links OSX: blah blah. Windows: Blah blah.

That's really unfortunate. Life was better when EA was Michael's company. So far Izotope hasn't shown much interest in their purchase.

So I wanted to update this post as I now know more information. I was contacted today by a senior support member from iZotope confirming that this is a bug with the current version of Stratus/Symphony 3D and almost assuredly will require an update to fix the issue once they find it. So if you requite Stratus/Symphony 3D reverbs from iZotope/Exponential Audio then DO NOT UPDATE to 2020.3 as they won't work! To be clear every over version of Stratus/Symphony work fine (mono-7.1) just not the 3D versions (i.e. 7.0.2 or 7.1.2). Hope this helps!

I agree, but Michael is still active, so EA isn't just sitting on the shelves at Izotope. Support, I suppose, is another issue.

Only "issue" so far is old EA purchases do not show up on izotope portal. Need to download from the website. Have been waiting they fix this but no luck so far

But you can still access old downloads via iZotope's clunky downloads page right? Maybe they need more staff so they can update/fix all of their apps. But to me the Portal seems like it would be a pretty low priority if you still have access to the downloads via the website. Users have been pulling downloads from websites since I can remember downloading things on computers (which admittedly isn't that long ago).
