Bizarre crashes
Anyone ever heard of the following problem? --
I load a Quicktime video file into Pro Tools 7.4. It loads fine and runs fine. I work on a sytem with two 19inch monitors. When I try to drag the video window from one monitor to another... Pro Tools crashes. This is a recent phenomenon -- I'd been dragging video windows back and forth from one monitor to another for a long time with no problems and now... Pro Tools crashes without fail whenever I try to do this. Anyone know what might be causing this? ----- Pro Tools 7.4 TDM Mac Dual 2.5 GHz PPC G5, 8 GB DDR SDRAM, OSX version 10.4.11 |

Re: Bizarre crashes
What codec is this video using - H.264 perhaps? If so, you should try converting it to another format - DV or Motion JPEG-A and try again.
H.264 seems to be problematic on some systems. |

Re: Bizarre crashes
Good call! The video was using H.264. I translated it to DV and now it no longer crashes the session when I move the window from one monitor to another. Thanks.
