Syncing Pro Tools to Ableton
Hi - I have looked for a specific answer to this but no joy...
So... I have recorded a 40 minute set - LIVE - in Ableton. The performance contains multiple tempo changes. I KNOW how to set up Ableton, using Rewire - but it is always the tempo SLAVE. I need Ableton to be the TEMPO MASTER. I want to press play on Ableton and see the tempos change in pro tools - allowing me to make the bounces, edits, alterations, etc. CAN IT BE DONE? THANK YOU ! |

Re: Syncing Pro Tools to Ableton
Pro Tools can only be a ReWire master, not a slave.
You might want to look at using Ableton Link if you’re on a recent version of Pro Tools. Link won’t give you audio passing into a channel like ReWire, but the two apps should sync to each other. You could come up with another way to route audio into one another. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
