Thanks for the response. Maybe i will try to rent a 192.

So many times this stuff is just a simple fix and the light goes on... Is it drivers? The system profiler says my HDN card has drivers installed, and i think all of the HD drivers are installed with the 10.3.10 installer.

The drivers page does not have drivers listed for PT HD 10, i've stared at it a good while:

But, doesn't this, copied from the link above, say that there ARE HD drivers for 10.3.6 and up:

HDX - HD Native PCIe - HD Native - ThunderBolt
These drivers are intended for use with Pro Tools|HDX and Pro Tools|HD
Native hardware on systems using Pro Tools HD 12, Pro Tools HD 11
and/or Pro Tools HD 10.3.6 and above software only

Is that only meaning drivers for use with the co-install of 10.3.6+ & 11?

I have 10.3.10.

But, the 10_3 installation guide says the drivers are included in the full software installer. Is it only referring to 10.3 - 10.3.5 ???

For Avid HDX, Pro Tools|HD, and HD Native hardware only, the Pro Tools
installer installs the necessary hardware drivers automatically.

For what it's worth, when i run the installer it eventually asks if i am using HDX/HDN or TDM. So I think it has drivers included.

The so called "HD Drivers" are needed if you use Avid hardware with some other DAW. Don't need to install if you only use PT as the drivers are included.

I would be concerned about the double lights in the card. Are you able to look into that?

Or get your interface and then run the tests. Then you will know for sure.

Well, i pulled a copy of Lion off of the Internet Archive because Apple still yet to email me my download. Did a clean install of the OS, installed the HDN card, PT 10, and now it is working.

Its not really that surprising, is it.
