Default default folder location

pro tools le 7.3, digi002, mac osx, can anyone tell me how you can change the default folder location for when you want to open files within pro tools? for example if you are importing audio into a project, is there a way to tell it the default folder to open the dialog box in? it seems to default to a user folder, but i want it to default to a folder on my external hard drive. thx in advance,

P

thanks, but that doesn't seem to work. i mean, if i open a new session pro tools defaults to looking in "... users -> documents" but i want to set this to default to another location.

With a new session, you'll get a 'New Session' prompt. Just use the drop-downs to set the location. Successive sessions should pick-up the last used settings.

Shooting from the hips now. Deleting prefs/ddbs might be worth a shot. Instructions as per the general troubleshooting thread.
