Once and for all: SC II ISA software update ever?

The current version is 4 years old. It doesn't support long file names. I can barely tolerate that, but because it crashes regularly in basic operation (eg. imported samples to a new instrument, created another mono multisample instrument - crash), I want to know are you going to release a new version or are you going to continue this policy of indifference? If you've quit developing for the ISA card, I can see no reason not to make programming information concerning the card available, and release the source code so that somebody can fix those bugs (and some outright design flaws) and make it LFN compatible. The hardware is good. It deserves up to date software. I wish some of you at Digidesign share this opinion.

Please explain.
