Pro Tools 10.2 freezing

I've been troubleshooting for days and I still can't figure out the solution to this. When I open a big session in Pro Tools, it freezes my whole computer (and I have to do a manual reset as a result). Sometimes it freezes right away and sometimes it's a few seconds or minutes later. I am using Pro Tools 10.2 and I use a 32-bit system Windows 7.

I didn't notice this problem until I download 10.2. What could be the problem here?

Does this happen with only this one session or overall with a big session ?

I would go fishing for what exactly is causing this. Hoe easy is it to reproduce ?
Are there any instrument tracks involved ? Plugins etc etc ...

One way of going fishing is to create a new session and start importing session data from the suspect session into that one.

Start with the audio tracks ... Audio only
Then add the plugins on those ....
Then add instruments and midi .... One at a time

Save a version of each import so you can easily go back once the issue repro's and try to pin it down to something more concrete then 'a big session'

i think i was able to pinpoint the problem: my harddrive. I may be wrong and it may act up again, but I'm good for now. Thanks for the help.
