Default click as rhythm track

I'd like to create more of a drum/rhythm track for the drummer to sync with vs. the more canned clicks in something like click II.

Is there a relatively easy way to get this done? I don't have a need to program whole songs in a drum machine, but would be very interested i any thing close to a press-and-play rock rhythm section at say, 170 bpm.

The ability to change it to 68 for the break (based on measure placement), and then back to 170 would be a huge plus.

Am I dreaming?
