Mbox 1 exchange/upgrade??

Now that Mbox 1 is dead on SL....

Is there any exchange/upgrade path from Mbox 1 to say....Mbox 2 or Mbox mini? I currently have PT 7.3.1.

well that's not entirely true... I just traded in/upgraded my Original MBox for a brand new HD3 setup with a 192IO and an 8 channel D/A expansion. The upgrade was $4000 less than buying it without turning in my MBox. So for a $400 box that I bought 6 years ago I now get a $4000 discount on an HD system. I like that. Thank you digi!

True. I'm hanging on to my old Mbox and 001 for the same reasons.

I think that a lot of MBox users are looking for a more of a crossgrade. They don't need more I/O than what they currently have but do desire to stay current. And just as importantly they want to stay on Pro Tools.

I would like to see a MBox crossgrade program and a PCI-X to PCIe Cross grade program like the current LE-HD upgrade deal for registered PPC users.

If nothing else a MBox to MBox2 crossgrade with a free Producer Pro Bundle would cost Digi almost nothing. Or a MBox to Mbox2 upgrade offer with a 100.00 off coupon for the MPTK would put smiles on everyones face.

I love my little MBox. I painted it black and it looks like Darth Vader. I use it with my Black Mack Book when I hit the road. Why kill off something that was never broken.
