11.1.2 quits nearly everytime i close a session

I don't use any of your plugins, but i have also some other Waves plugins in my session. But i don't really belive that this is the reason, so many people use Waves plugins.
I use McDSP, PluginAlliance, PlugAndMix, IKMultimedia, Avid, NomadFactory as far as i can recall it...

OK so it crashed on my first time (without using short cut commands). But then I couldnt get it to crash again.

I had about 8 tracks. Superiror drummer, EZmix, Waves plugins on the go.

I have an error report but it is too big to attach. How do people share this info on here?

Just split up the report into 2 or more posts and post them under eachother.

That is how we did it and seen others do the same.

well, i can´t reproduce it everytime, but i think it has something to do with the T-Racks plugins (in my case). as long as i have none of them inserted, everything is always normal, with them inserted PT can´t close a session without quitting..., but not everytime, sometimes it does, sometimes not...

Close the TRacks gui and you should be good. I find if I leave any open then I have problems.

the GUIs are all closed.

Some sessions do not force quit PT after closing them, some do.
And some sessions do both, closing normal (keeping PT alive), or force quit PT.
Until now i couldn't figure out, what's the reason behind it. It also doesn't matter if i use plugins or not.

Yes, i do know that i have an unsupported OS, 10.9.1, but it happend with 10.9.0 also.
I don't blame Avid, i just want to know if anyone else has this problem.

About T-RackS plug-ins, there is a "crash" bug for a long time (at least since v4.2). I notified it many times to IK (it is better in many situations since v4.5) but still there on the last v4.6.

To reproduce this bug (at 100% here) :
1/ open T-RackS GUI
2/ move some knobs or buttons (or recall a preset)
3/ (while GUI is opened) remove the plug in or replace this instance by another plugin or close the session
(NB : if you skip step 2/ there won't be any crash)

Workaround : As musicman691 said, to prevent from having this bug, close the GUI before quitting PT or swapping/removing T-RackS plug-in.

Other info : after having such a crash with a particular session, I also figured out that the "WaveCache.wfm" file of this session is corrupted.
-> Try to trash this file (it is a temp file so it is safe to delete) and see if you still have so many PT crashes when quitting.

Also did you repair system disk permission (I usely do this when I have too much consecutive app crashes) ?

Otherwise try to clean PT prefs.
