Cant close or save pro tools le 7.3.1

when i open pro tools seems like everything works fine but then when i try to close or save an error message pops up and says this cannot be completed b/c of neo assertion... etc. any clue why this is happening? i need to get this workin asap please help!!!

here is the exact message

could not complete the close session command because neo assertion in "/Volumes/Development.vb_cliff/AlturaPorts/SDK's/Neo61/Libraries/Macintosh/Environments/Alone/../../../../Source/CNEoStreamable.cpp", line 2247

I have a macbookpro 2.0 intel core duo 1 gb ram and im using an external avastor hdx external hard drive, im running pro tools 7.3.1 with a digi 002 rack unit

Please start with the steps in the OS X Setup and General Troubleshooting sticky at the top of this forum, specifically those areas on trashing preference and database files.

This exact situation is happening with my system (Mbox2 mini, Macbook, OS 10.4.9, Pro tools LE 7.3.1) Are you saving to a FireWall? Do you ever have problems with buffer size/speed? Did you ever resolve this? How?
