Default USB lock up with iLoc key

I have a customer I support with all his computer needs. Anyway he is using the Digi001 on a quicksilver Mac. He also uses Final Cut Pro for video work under OSX. This setup has been working fine for 6 months. Then about 4 days ago a friend of his that works for a local radio station came over to set up a cd for work. The DJ tried to start PTLE under OSX... it didn't work.. Odvisouly... but anyway... they booted into OS9 and used ProTools.. later when my customer was back in OSX trying to download film off his digital camera it wouldn't work and then he got a kernel panic off the usb subsystem. After about 4 hours of trial and errror after dealing with apple support it turns out that the iLoc key was the problem. and now when you try to install it and boot up in to os9 it locks up the comuter.

any ideas...

my only idea is to reprogram the iLoc key and I don't know if I really want to do that

Default Re: USB lock up with iLoc key

Based on this entry on the LBTI section of our website, Mac OS X can cause corruption of PACE keys. Although we have not had reports of iLok being damaged, it is possible that there is some correlation.

If the system only operates when iLok is not connected, then you will need to replace your iLok. Please contact us by phone:
650-731-6100

If not in the US, contact your local Digi field office.

In the meantime:
-Make sure you have the latest version of the InterLok extensions installed:

-Try connecting iLok to a different USB port
