Getting strange video lag during playback.

I have a question to anyone who can answer this. I just installed a new sound card on my PC. A Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty sound card. Now I am getting this weird application lag(Not Audio)during playback. My meters and faders and kind of are sticking. The sound is ok though. I have a very high end video card with the latest drivers so I know it's not that. It works great on everything else. Before this card I was using the onboard SigmaTel Audio(Onboard) and it was ok. I upgraded to improve performance and now it's worse. Is there something I need to turn on or off so they don't conflict? Or is it automatically configured?

open your task manager to see if the CPU is peaking/spiking. I've been having a few proplems with video playback and IExplorer on my laptop.

Actually it is nice and steady. Anything else that could be the problem? It's a drag to have this happen all of a sudden. There must be something I am over looking.

duuude i have the same problem. go check out my post and see if we have the same description. the lag sucks doesnt it.
