Scrub problem with PT 10 and video out PCIe

I've just taken delivery of a new Mac Pro 12 core 2.4 Ghz. It shows up as a Mac 5,1 Westmere and I have a Decklink HD Extreme 3D. Everything seems to be running nicely apart from when I scrub audio with the picture online and "video over PCIe" selected, and then the picture disappears from the Blackmagic output and appears on one of my LCD computer monitors.

When I resume playing, the picture goes back to the BlackMagic-fed display.

Any ideas?

what codec is the video file?

Same functionality with Avid Mojo. Presume it's how it handles scrubbing w/video. Never seen otherwise.

It's AVID DNx36 HD 1080p 23.976 codec. I am familiar with how the Mojo scrubs on another DVI window, but this had never happened until now. Always the pictures played out the PCIe Blackmagic have scrubbed on the TV monitor it's connected to.

Arghh! My talented colleague just pointed me towards the option "Scrub in Video Window" which was checked (I've never used this function). Now it's back to the way it was and all is 'normal' again.

Hi Ray, glad you found the problem. Many people do not know about that option. It was put in by Digi shortly after MOJO was supported, in response to loud howls of complaints on this board and elsewhere. Scrubbing with firewire interfaces introduced a lag time that upset some users, whether they had a MOJO or Canopus interface. Digi responded with this menu choice. It works pretty well but I do not prefer to use it. I prefer to keep the image on the same monitor while scrubbing. The visual lag has never bothered me.

Me neither and the window for scrubbing gets in the way of my plugs and edits on the desktop.
I think was when v10 and 7.2 on XP were flavour of the month with unity.
