Default New User - Can\'t hear MIDI I imported into PTLE

Please bear with me, I'm a new user.

I exported a MIDI file from Band In A Box (Type 1). Created a new PT session. Imported the MIDI file into PT (it created the four tracks accurately). When I press play back I hear nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Create a stereo aux track, insert the midi instrument in an insert on thsi track, or if a sound module, the inputs of the aux track should be the inputs the module is connected to, RAISE the aux fader and if the outs of the aux track are correct, you will hear your midi track playback.

I just figured it out. I did not choose a MIDI synth to playback the sounds. But here's another problem. I want to use the Roland Virtual Synthesiser that came with Band In A Box, but when I choose that as my synth I hear nothing. The Microsoft native synth and McrGSWS2 work fine. How do I get the Roland to work?

Another weird thing. Now I'm hearing the MIDI playback through my speakers (hooked up to my computer via the motherboard headphone jack). I thought you were only supposed to hear MBOX output through the MBOX headphone jack.

It could be that you need to go to Control Panel/Sound Audio Devices/Audio and set it to the Digi card. Could be...
