That's the response I received from Lexicon support last week:

"Lexicon currently plans to release AAX versions of our existing plug-ins, but no final timeline can be announced for their release. We recommend that you keep checking the web site for details as they become available."

Doesn't sound like they're close.

It seems they still tax a lot of DSP. Kramer Guitar still wants 10% of my 6x3.33 six core. Perhaps it figures, since it is just a waveshell that is new. Perhaps the plugs themselves will one day be 64 bit and less taxing?

Don't hold your breath. We're lucky they released the AAX WavesHell so the plugs can be used to begin with. The same reasoning by the way was used when they announced the no AAX-DSP versions. "Can't get more instances, will not release"... so they just suck, performance-wise.

Lets hope they sell no soundgrid boxes, see the error of their ways and release an aax dsp waveshell.

You are allowed to dream.

Any company investing in proprietary chips and DSP is mad. I'd much rather they honed the software first.

I believe Soundgrid uses off the shelf Intel chips.

Still a bad idea and they won't get any of my money.

Default Waves AAX 64 Native

Just got my email from Waves that AAX Native 64 plugins are ready for download if covered under WUP.

Finally. Hope it was worth the wait.
