Default DA88 frame rates

Hello

Is it possible to tell what the frame rate of a DA88 tape is, i.e. 29.97 DF or NDF, by playing the tape in the DA88 machine?

I do not have a manual to investigate this and some of my tapes are not labelled (others I suspect are labelled incorrectly)

Thanks

K

Yes.

To enter the timecode menu:

First, put the display in TC mode: Either press the DISPLAY button until the TC light glows, or just hold DISPLAY and press the DOWN arrow.

To access the TC sub-menu, press both the UP and DOWN arrows together. Then press DISPLAY to scroll down through the menu.
(To scroll up, hold the UP arrow and press DISPLAY. To exit the menu, hold DISPLAY and press the DOWN arrow.)

What am I looking for and when? I can set the frame rate for prestriping in Generate, but there also seems to be a menu in TC that starts with t. and then shows a frame rate. The frame rate is often different from the one I have set for striping.

Also, do I look for the frame rate of the tape while it is playing?

Sorry, I'm not in front of the machine right now and am trying to remember what I have seen.

To check what the frame rate is set to on the DA88 machine press the up and down arrows together. Then press either the up or down buttons to change the frame rate.
